mc-rs 0.5.0: survival, mobs and game systems

Installing the update

Download and run mc-rs-launcher.exe. Launchers from 0.2.0 offer the update automatically. Version 0.5.0 is the mc-rs release, not a Minecraft version.

Survival and items

• Health, hunger, damage, death and respawn.
• Tool-tier-aware mining and drops, dropping items and picking them up.
• Inventory, crafting table, chest and furnace screens, ores and smelting.
• Explosions, bows, arrows, food, drinks, buckets, milk, armor, beds, doors, jukeboxes and records.
• Crop growth on random ticks, sapling growth and bonemeal.
• Enchanting tables, enchantments and their effects, and enchanted glint.
• Experience and the XP bar, potion effects and /effect, /difficulty, and an off-hand slot.
• Fences, panes, walls, iron bars, redstone wire and fire.

Mobs and server features

• Breedable cows, pigs, sheep and chickens.
• Zombies, bow-equipped skeletons, spiders and creepers with spawning, pathfinding, daylight burning, sounds and loot.
• Epic Siege is enabled by default as a server add-on and can be toggled in server.json.
• The Tab player list and Quit Game / Disconnect in the Esc menu.
• The launcher and website remain signed in, with one-click guest play.
• A fast leaf-decay setting.

Connection and behavior fixes

• Rejoining after a dropped connection no longer repeats leave/join messages.
• Slow Windows reads no longer drop the connection.
• Mobs interpolate smoothly between server updates.
• Zombies retain their target after being hit.
