Launcher and new screens

Install through mc-rs-launcher.exe; launchers from 0.2.0 offer the update automatically. The release adds creative inventory tabs, search and the survival inventory tab, plus standing and wall signs with an editing screen and text visible to everyone.

Automatic world backups

The server copies the world every 30 minutes while someone is playing and retains the latest 24 copies. Restoring also preserves a copy of the pre-rollback world. The restoration is applied at the next server start.

Creating and restoring backups

Command / option Action
/backup Create a backup now.
/backup list List backups.
/rollback NAME Restore backup NAME at the next start.
–rollback NAME Server-start option for restoring backup NAME.
tools/server_console.py Utility for typing into the server window and stopping it cleanly for restarts.

Fixes

  • Joining from the launcher no longer crashes before the first frame.
  • The author reports about 5 ms less median input-to-picture delay in browser sessions.
  • A failing shared-game component logs its error and keeps running.
