Launcher and servers

  • The Linux AppImage updates in place.
  • One launch can use a different account that is already signed in.
  • Exact player counts and their history are displayed, with the launcher count linked to playhorizon.dev/stats.
  • Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese and Turkish support and broader UI localization are added.
  • The launcher CLI gains shell completions.
  • The official server address play.playhorizon.dev comes from links.json; old entries migrate and counting follows SRV.
  • The accent color can use any hue.

Mods and builds

  • Native mods support their own crates, data files, named hooks and post-build steps.
  • Content mods can declare thrown-entity types, block-state properties, creative tabs and tag-based block connections.
  • Native mods can register item component types.
  • ATLauncher instances can be copied into Java instances.
  • GitHub-installed mods retain README and crate data files.
  • Native-build up-to-date detection, old-data cleanup on rebuild and newer hooks on the installed game are fixed.

Other fixes

  • Resource packs work when the home directory is reached through a link.
  • On macOS, each account’s secrets are kept in one Keychain item.
  • The build path is made readable to MinGW-w64.
  • Windows updates stop using the self-deleting copy flagged by Defender as Wacatac.
  • The partner banner can also be hidden on the Servers page.
  • Incomplete panorama assets and legacy Forge mcmod.info identity reading are fixed.

First launch

On Linux, download the AppImage, mark it executable and run it. On Windows, extract the archive and run horizon-launcher; on macOS, run Horizon.app. An existing launcher updates itself.
