The Deep Void

The Deep Void: A New Dimension of Challenge

Players can access The Deep Void by breaking a basalt rift at coordinates 0,0 or by falling from the End dimension. Once inside, light sources are destroyed by native creatures, forcing players to maintain illumination to avoid detection. Survival depends on crafting and using a Void Pendant for safe egress from the dimension.

The environment features unique biomes such as Bone Wastes and Flesh Plains, set against a backdrop of a lost civilization corrupted by dark forces. Hostile entities prefer darkness and actively hunt victims who stray from lit areas. Notable threats include complex bosses with intricate attack patterns and the stealthy Stalker, which waits in shadows to ambush prey.

Victory in this dimension rewards players with exclusive weapons and armor sets obtained from defeating these formidable foes.

The Deep Void: Mechanics and Entities

Players can fall into the Void dimension accessible from the End. The Abducter entity is capable of capturing players from any world. Within this dimension, bone dunes serve as a habitat for predators. Players receive two warnings before the Stalker appears. The Stalker does not spawn in Gloomy Deathgrounds, Staring Hills, or Crawler Nest biomes. A shot from the Flare Gun stops the Stalker’s movement permanently. Feeding the Stalker with Stalker Treat distracts it. During hallucinations, players can summon the Stalker by stabbing themselves with an Obsidian Syringe.

The Deep Void: Mining and Exploration Guide

Accessing the Deep Void dimension requires a specific entry point. Players must break basalt at coordinates 0, -64, 0 to create a void portal or use cracked basalt blocks as an alternative method. Once inside this dimension, players can encounter Abductors, hostile entities that capture victims and eject them back into the void. Exploration here focuses on finding Voidrium ore, which generates exclusively within Gloom Caves located beneath Windswept Hollow biomes. Mining this resource demands a Shatterbone Pickaxe, as standard tools cannot harvest it effectively.

The Deep Void: Mechanics and Configuration

Players trapped by Abductors in the Deep Void dimension can escape by crouching. These entities are revealed through an Eye of the Deep, which illuminates them with a glow and plays a bell sound when present; however, the effect ceases if no Abductors are nearby. The Deep Void dimension is accessible from The End by falling into the void. To modify spawn coordinates or the fall height of -70, edit the configuration file directly. The mod supports setup via Configured or manual editing of instance folders and was built with MCreator.
