Hardcore Lite: Life Drain Mechanics
In Hardcore Lite, death in Survival or Adventure mode drains one heart from the player’s health bar. If a player dies while having no hearts remaining, they are forced into spectator mode instead of respawning. Hearts can be restored by consuming a poisoned golden apple, which functions similarly to standard golden apples but with specific interaction rules regarding maximum restoration limits. The mod does not support integration with existing real-world Hardcore worlds in Minecraft.
All gameplay adjustments are managed exclusively through in-game gamerules; there is no configuration file for manual editing. Players receive chat notifications whenever they lose or gain a heart, and a system-wide alert is triggered when the final heart is lost from any player’s inventory.
Hardcore Lite: Life Drain Mechanics and Language Settings
This mod introduces a life drain mechanic where dying in Hardcore mode reduces your heart count rather than ending the game immediately. It is compatible with Minecraft versions 1.21.6 through 1.21.10 and NeoForge 1.21.11, utilizing version 1.0.x of the mod for these platforms. The core gameplay change allows players to continue surviving after death by managing their hearts, adding a new layer of strategy to Hardcore mode.
